What we collect
The site collects minimal data and none of it is sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.
AI Economics Hub is a read-only editorial publication. You do not need an account to read any content on the site.
Theme preference. When you select a light or dark theme, that preference is stored in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.
AI Economics Lab. Anything you enter in the AI Economics Lab, such as use cases, estimates, spend and evidence, is stored only in your browser's localStorage and IndexedDB. It is not sent to any server. It stays until you clear it or your browser's site data, and leaves your device only if you export a file yourself.
Newsletter subscription. If you choose to subscribe, for example to unlock the detailed self-assessment report, we collect your email address, and only after you tick the consent box. We use it solely to send the newsletter and editorial updates. The address is held by our email provider, Resend, and is not stored on the site or alongside anything you enter in a tool. We do not sell, rent, or share subscriber email addresses.
AI value maturity self-assessment. When you finish the self-assessment, we store your answers anonymously so we can publish aggregate findings: the score for each question, the time you finished and, only if you choose to give them, your role and organisation size band. We do not store your name, email address, organisation or IP address with the answers, and they are not linked to your email address if you subscribe.
Browser tools. The calculators run in your browser. What you type stays on your device unless you copy a link to your result, which carries your inputs in the address. If you subscribe to unlock a tool report, your browser's localStorage remembers that, so you are not asked again.
Contact and feedback. If you contact us directly by email, we retain the contents of that correspondence to enable a response. We do not add unsolicited contacts to any mailing list.
Cookies
The site does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.
AI Economics Hub does not set cookies for tracking, advertising, or analytics purposes.
The only browser storage the site uses is localStorage for the theme preference and, in the AI Economics Lab, localStorage and IndexedDB for your own work, both described above. Neither is a cookie: they do not travel with HTTP requests and are not accessible by other websites.
The analytics described below do not use cookies. If we introduce features that require cookies in the future, this policy will be updated before those features go live, and where required by law, we will obtain consent first.
Analytics
We use Vercel's cookie-free analytics to count visits and measure page speed.
Vercel Web Analytics counts page views and records the page address, the referring site, and the visitor's country, browser, operating system and device type. It does not use cookies. To tell one visit from another it uses a short-lived hash of the request, which Vercel discards after 24 hours, so we cannot identify you or follow you across sites. We see only aggregate figures.
Vercel Speed Insights measures how quickly pages load and respond (Core Web Vitals) on your device and reports those timings with the page address, browser and device type. It does not use cookies.
AI Economics Lab pages. Before any page address in the Lab is reported, record identifiers, query strings and anything after # are removed, so analytics never carry the names or contents of your work.
Neither tool is used for advertising, and neither shares data with advertising networks. Both are governed by Vercel's privacy policy.
Third-party services
We use Vercel to host the site and for the analytics above, Resend for the newsletter and Neon for anonymised self-assessment answers.
Vercel. The site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect standard server-side request logs (IP address, user agent, URL, timestamp) as part of normal infrastructure operation. These logs are governed by Vercel's privacy policy and are not accessible to or controlled by AI Economics Hub beyond what Vercel makes available for diagnostic purposes.
Resend. Newsletter addresses are held by Resend, which sends the newsletter on our behalf, under Resend's privacy policy.
Neon. Anonymised self-assessment answers are stored in a Neon Postgres database. They contain no personal data.
We do not use advertising networks, social media pixel trackers, or third-party marketing data services.
Data retention and your rights
You can request removal of any personal data we hold.
Newsletter subscribers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email. On unsubscription, your email address is removed from the active list.
Other data requests. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold, email us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with applicable data protection legislation, you may have additional rights under GDPR or equivalent law. We aim to honour those rights as a matter of good practice regardless of where you are located.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 16.
This site is designed for enterprise professionals. It is not directed at individuals under the age of 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
Changes to this policy
We will publish updates to this policy when our practices change.
If we make material changes to how we handle personal data, we will update this page and revise the date shown below. We will not reduce your rights under this policy without clear notice.
