Glossary entry
Risk tiers: Glance, Check, Scrutinise
Three levels of human attention matched to risk. Glance is for low-stakes, reversible work, verified by automated checks and a random human sample. Check is for material but recoverable work, where a person checks the evidence pack and samples the work. Scrutinise is for high-stakes or hard-to-reverse work, with a named independent reviewer who can reject it.
Why it matters
Attention is scarce. Tiering decides how much of it each item earns, and should be set against published criteria rather than chosen by the sender.
