Glossary entry
Value claim
A defensible statement about the incremental benefit of an outcome, measured or estimated against a baseline. In the Tokenomics Foundation's value classification it is the product of the method, and it is distinct from a return or ROI, which also needs cost.
Why it matters
It keeps a benefit estimate from being presented as a return. A claim can be complete without being an ROI.
